Sarbojoinin Sharodia festival is a harvest time festival observed in Bangladesh, Nepal and parts of India: Bengal, Assam, Odisha and Tripura. With “Sarbojonin” implying “all inclusiveness”, this festival is celebrated by all segments of population in these regions. The festival features the win of good against bad and the celebration of cultural heritage. Sharodia Festival includes cultural programs, elaborate stage decorations, art exhibitions and scripture recitation.
Since 2017, Bandhan Cultural Association has been annually organizing Sharodia Festival, segments of which are captured in the attached collage. This year’s Festival will be held at Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church on Saturday, September 28th from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. The festival is expected to draw a crowd of 500+ in total. Throughout the day, Bandhan will highlight generosity of the sponsors through banners, slide projections and frequent on-stage announcements. We are also planning to publish a brochure with the write-ups from the community members and messages from the sponsors.
